Hello Moon Kart Racers! Recently, the Moon Karts team has announced the release of their first airdrop card. It's available for those lucky ones who bought Alpha Centauri packs in the pre-sale. The card is a Legendary Driver card, Drift. Let's check him out and do a deep dive on his stats
Promo Card Eligibility Criteria
For every 50 packs a player buys, they will receive one airdrop card, with a 4% chance of it being gold foil. Additionally, for every 1,000 packs purchased, the player is guaranteed at least one gold foil legendary promotional airdrop card.
If you think you're eligible for the airdrop, then check your inventory for the juicy legendary Drift cards.
Stats
In a previous post, I wrote about how each NFTs impact or boost a kart's stats. The same also applies with the new driver, Drift, whose stats will have an impact on the kart's performance.
Checking out Drift's stats, it's clear he is built for speed and durability. For players who want to have the maximum speed but like their kart to be sustained against bumps and attacks from other players, Drift is the perfect driver for them. At level one, Drift boasts of 29.3 speed and 27.1 Health. Drift's handling and acceleration stats though are not that high at 16.2 and 16.9 respectively.
At maxed level Drift will contribute to a kart, speed of 31.7, handling of 18.6, health of 29.5 and acceleration of 19.3.
If I would compare Drift to other legendary drivers, then it would be Vortex who also has great stats on speed and health. Vortex is better than Drift overall though. At level one, Vortex has a speed of 34.8, health of 31.4, handling of 19.7 and acceleration of 18.1.
One advantage Drift has over Vortex though is you can upgrade him easily if you qualify for the air drop and has multiple copies of him. Vortex is not available in the market so you have to try your luck and buy some Centauri packs from hive-engine if you want to have her as your driver.
Lucky Airdrop Qualifiers
A total of 586 Cards were airdropped, where 537 were Regular Foil and 49 were Gold Foil.

Conclusion
Arcade Colony Moon Karts is gaining popularity what with the recent developments including a mobile port. The new legendary driver further increases the hype and I can't wait for further developments in this game.
