HoloZing is an upcoming RPG built on the Hive blockchain. Inspired by Pokémon, it focuses on monster catching, training, and battling. The game is the brainchild of @acidyo on Hive. He is a long time contributor recognized for projects like OCD (Original Content Decentralized) and POSH (Proof Of Sharing). This game is highly anticipated by P2E gamers like me. I already bought an alpha vial and waiting for the day that I can open it and see which alpha creatures and in-game items I get.

My Expectations From the Game

Currently, the most popular game on the Hive Blockchain is Splinterlands and rightly so. It's a fun trading card game I play everyday. It has a passionate community and encourages content creators with curations. Splinterlands is the gift that keeps on giving.

I expect that HoloZing, having been inspired by Pokémon, will offer the same level of fun and excitement not just from playing the game but from collecting capturing and collectiing creatures as well.

Key Features I Expect

Capturing, Training and Collecting Creatures

Aside from battles, it will be fun to keep adding and strengthening the creatures in our collection by capturing, training and evolving them. This is what made Pokemon successful and fun to play. I hope that HoloZing can duplicate this success and enjoyment.

Healing and HP Management

In every RPG, healers are very important since they sustain the team in battle. We have seen this in every popular RPG like Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest and others that came after. HoloZing seems to have the same element in the game. This was discussed by @acidyo in his updates that a healer is an integral part of the team and it will be lucky if we can pull one from the vials.

PVE Mode of Play

A key feature I'd like to see in Splinterlands is PVE. It seems that HoloZing will have this feature in capturing and training creatures. This is also a mode of play that I find enjoyable in RPG's.

Play2Earn

Being a game built on the Hive Blockchain, HoloZing has play2earn elements wherein we can earn tokens, rent and trade NFTs. I play games for fun and earnings are a bonus for me. Nevertheless, I expect that HoloZing, having a large playerbase will have a robust game economy. I'm hoping it will capture (pun intended) the attention of gamers outside of the Hive Blockchain the way Axie Infinity did in 2021 where the game became synonymous for P2E.

Final Thoughts

HoloZing, with a trusted founder, passionate community and competent team behind it is on the road to be the next big game on the Hive Blockchain. I'm excited for this game and the fun and profit it will bring. Game On!
