There are approximately thirty villages in the Raiganj district of Sirajganj, including Sahebganj and Faridpur, and the boat is the sole hope for the crossing of lakhs of people from those villages.
In order to facilitate this river crossing, a bamboo bridge was built on the river .
As a result of this flood, however, the local population suffered as a result of the loss of bamboo poles.
On a daily basis, thousands of individuals, including rickshaws, vans, motorcycles, and thousands of people, cross the river using only one boat.
