This is a superb species of tough ginger lily that can grow to be between five and seven feet tall. It is well-known for its big head size and for being the first species to flower, typically beginning in the beginning of July.
Each flower spike that grows 18 inches tall is made up of little flowers that are rather dark orange in colour and have a very dark orange core.
A spectacular display is produced when all of the florets open at the same time. fresh pseudostems are used by Hedychium coccineum to produce fresh flowers from the summer through the early autumn.
Although it is also known as Hedychium Honduras Form, Hedychium coccineum 'Disney' (also known as Disney Scarlet Ginger) is widely regarded as one of the most superior varieties of the Himalayan Hedychium coccineum.
The Hedychium 'Disney' has a very tall stem that is seven feet tall and has foliage that is delightfully glaucous and has a reddish hue on the underside.
You will find blooms that are vivid, orange-red, and pleasantly fragrant at the summit of the mountain in the late summer.
In contrast to several of the other gingers, Hedychium 'Disney' maintains a fairly upright position even when exposed to partial sunlight.
