Thunbergia erecta is a species of creeping plant that belongs to the genus Thunbergia that originates from West Africa. Other names are bush clockvine, king's-mantle and potato bush

This plant is usually called the purple trumpet flower in our place, or people usually call it the talang flower. Personally, I don't know for sure the special names because our habits as boys only know that the flowers are purple.
This flower itself grows well in front of our house and this flower without having to be given special fertilizer can grow a lot of flowers even during the rainy season, more and more flowers bloom because the rainy season arrives.
Among the other flowers planted by my mother, this purple talang flower or purple trumpet flower is a flower that is not pampered and not sprayed with pesticides, it only needs watering when the soil starts to dry out, there are no caterpillars that eat the leaves or other things that interfere with this plant, even to plant it, just take the twigs, stick them in the ground and they will grow immediately.
