On this very happy occasion I will share a picture that I took directly in the forest and this caught my attention.
Senduduk (Melastoma malabathricum) is a shrub and belongs to the Melastomataceae family. This plant has bright purple flowers with hairy reddish stems, usually growing in open grasslands or forests.
In taking this picture, I accidentally saw the flowers of this senduduk plant being visited by ants who were sucking the flower buds which might taste sweet so that the ants like them.
I myself do not know for sure whether this senduduk flower plant is sold or available at ornamental plant shops or other flower shops because I have never seen it.
