Pulutan (Urena lobata) is a plant that belongs to the Malvaceae/cotton family, meaning that this plant is related to gandapura, cotton, hibiscus, waru, sidaguri, and cemplak - a type of grass that smells very bad.

Benefits and Uses of Pulutan have anti-inflammatory, fever-reducing and anti-rheumatic properties. The leaves can be used as a phlegm expectorant. While the roots can be used for therapy for goiter, stomach ache, rheumatism, flu and vaginal discharge.
This plant is also considered a weed that grows freely in vacant land or agricultural land and can be destroyed by simply spraying it, but if it is cut down it will grow back very easily.
