Feeding pigeons

Flocks of pigeons began to arrive in our courtyard and each time they arrive different. Wild pigeons prefer not to mix with domestic pigeons, which are still bred by urban residents.

Not far from us, among the garages, I recently discovered a dovecote. But there's another one that I haven't photographed yet. In the first photo, it seems to me, there are wild pigeons that live in the city by themselves.

But these multicolored ones most likely have a master. They came to us today, and I fed them well with barley groats. And while they were pecking at him, I was trying to take photos. It turned out that this is not so easy, because birds are very mobile and it is very difficult to make a separate portrait of each one.

It was the most beautiful pigeon today. In the sun, his feathers would have shimmered in a variety of brown shades, but it was cloudy. Although there are still noticeable overflows of colors on his neck.

When I poured in new grain, they got scared and fly up, so that after, calming down, they could return to food.

This went on for a long time, until they finally ate their fill and stopped asking me for more, they sat quietly humming to each other about something of their own.
