Today I saw these yellow flowers on the riverbank. They had never grown in this place before, and in general I had never seen them anywhere. In spring, you are happy with all the first flowers, and I picked a few pieces in order to bring them home and take pictures in a calm atmosphere, and then use the photo to find information about this plant on the Internet.
But the flowers, when I put them in the water, almost immediately folded their petals into buds. That didn't stop me from finding their name from a photo of the buds. The plant is called Ficaria verna in Latin and belongs to the buttercup family. I know that there are many poisonous plants in this family, and now I will treat these flowers carefully, although I did not intend to eat them. Photos of such modest beauty are quite enough for me.
When the flowers were in bloom, they had a bright yellow color and I did not notice that their petals were so strong, thick and with a greenish coating on the outside. The buds look like water plants like water lilies.
I will wait until tomorrow and if these flowers in the vase do not bloom, then I will go to the river to take pictures of them in the open state. They are very beautiful, like all primroses, which pleases us at the beginning of each spring.
