A Health Tip and a Misconception regarding Mouth Ulcers

If a mouth ulcer is observed to have persisted for more than three weeks, and is noticed to be large, or is followed by other symptoms that are unusual (such as skin inflammation or dermatitis, feverish conditions or even swollen lymph nodes), it’s highly recommended to consult a healthcare practitioner. Persistent ulcers could indicate and point to an underlying health condition or at times, oral cancer.

People mostly confuse ulcers of the mouth generally with canker sores, but in reality they are neither the same nor identical. Canker sores are a separate section or specific type of mouth ulcer that expresses itself inside the mouth and is brought about by unfavorable factors such as stress or acidic foods.

On the other hand, mouth ulcers can come on board due to various risk factors and it includes other types, like cold sores and even traumatic ulcers( ulcers caused by traumas which maybe but not limited to physical or chemical attacks on the oral tissues)
