Roman people have different approaches to writing depending on what to write and what is meant for. For instance, short messages and school writing are done on soft wax tablets using a pointed metal stylus. Moreover, for important messages and letters they use a metal pen dipped in ink.
Also, they write on thin piece of wood and/or animal skin. Their writing leaflets do not have pages, they are made in scrolls, glued together and then rolled up.
As regards Roman foods and recipes. It is mostly based on financial status. For example, poor Romans eat bread, vegetable soup, porridge. Meat is regarded as luxury and rich people food which could not be afforded by poor man.
However, some poor people that lived in the country side or rural areas were sometimes lucky as they could go on hunting and fishing to get meats and fishes.
Moreso, poor people's houses usually lack kitchens during the Roman times and as such they often took food to baker's factory to cook. Some people bought sausages or fried fish from food shops and market.
Conversely, rich Roman people had kitchen in their houses with slaves to cook for them. Most ate a light breakfast and snacks at midday which could be bread and cheese or boiled eggs mixed with salad vegetables.
Rich families ate dinner in the late afternoon with a starter feed and then a meat which could be pork, beef, hare meat, goat meat, chicken meat, fish or pigeon bird meat. This is usually followed by fruit or nuts and suitable drinks.
Last but not least, lettuce 🥬🥬🥬 vegetable is usually at the end of the meal as Romans believed it helps them to achieve healthy sleep and rest after being exhausted.
