But Australia took the rare step of fulfilling its quota of 11 cricketers. They fielded coach Andrew McDonald and head of selectors George Bailey. Even Australia's fielding coach Andre and batting coach Brad Hodge entered the field as substitute fielders.
However, Australia had no problem winning the match. Namibia lost the toss and batted first in Port of Spain. They scored 119 runs for 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In response, Australia went into bat and scored 123 runs for 3 wickets in 10 overs to win the match. Australia won the match by 7 wickets with 60 balls left in the innings. David Warner remained unbeaten on 54 off 21 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes.
