PeakD to remove ionomy?

Not the most exciting news, but recently ionomy has dropped off the stage and maybe left the building never to return.

Was ionomy a pseudo ponzi scheme?

An increase of complaints of funds being hijacked by the company has motivated PeakD to remove ionomy this coming fork. Is Blurt chain going to do the same?

Here is complaint example #1

PeakD

It reads:

When Ionomy popped onto the scene years ago I was excited about an exchange that was non-KYC that supported some of the holdings that I have. Therefore, I have been putting a bit of my stuff into there and for a while things were looking good and working wonderfully.

There was even an instance where I accidentally forgot to put the memo in the transfer slot - which was a stupid mistake on my part - but it was sorted out in a few days or so. I was impressed with the customer service and had a lot of faith in this company.

Recently though, things have gone terribly downhill for them and they have been simply not processing withdrawals. In one of them, not only did they not process the withdrawal, but they decided that there was going to have to be an "investigation" that was meant to take 3-4 weeks. It has been several months and I have still not heard back anything and my further attempts at emailing support produce only an auto-reply and never any follow up by an actual human.

It goes on to claim, in order to have the issue foxed, ionomy help asked asked for his or her private information. Which defeats the purpose of joining a nonkyc exchange.

For those that do not know what KYC is, it a is an acronym for "Know Your Customer". A common policy to have "government" issued identification presented to the company for access to it's services.
So a "Non-KYC" will be no government issued ID required. This latter option helps protect individuals from having their funds stolen by online thieves or worse physically attacked by having their anonymity violated. Not having to go through KYC exposure keeps your personal details safer than exposed at the hands of a central exchange of a hack so happens to occur.

On the ionomy telegram help service group, number of complaints are slowly increasing with no reaponse at all for anyone. Not even a public announcement to clear some air. It seems to me, well my theory is, they have went bankrupt and are witholding currency from their own customers.

I have been victim to this as well as I have mentioned in a previos post here:

STOP SENDING FUNDS TO IONOMY.COM

There is no real threat of any civil suit or fraud case that has been submitted to the coppers, that I am aware of, yet.

The crowds restlessness continues for now... Only time will say for how long.

if anyone from Minnesota could check this place out and get some questions answered to this growing situation, a few hundred people will greatly appreciate it.
Just make sure to record it.

This us the supposed face to ionomy.

His twitter and linkd is void of activities since its creation. I sense fakeness and a wif of potential scam alerts that went unchecked during the decision of including this exchange to chains

Last February 14th I deposited 1.0848 DASH on ionomy, with the aim of buying some BLURTs, but I never received the credit.

To date, my ionomy account balance is still zero.

I have sent three different requests to support, but no one has responded to me yet.

  • ionomy Support request (6186), February 14
  • ionomy Support request (6187), February 15
  • ionomy Support request (6189), February 16

I hope something can be done to recover the funds.

I have 20usd in btc stuck in reserves with zero open orders. This happened when I made an attempt to purchase ltc after selling blurt.

It seems it doesn't matter the "HOW" because many have funds missing, or withheld or stuck in transactions due to error in Ionomy infrastructure and lack of maintenance. Which hints to me this was some sort of ponzi scheme but only time will really tell. It has months of this happening across hundreds now of customers.

I am glad a couple witnesses have read this and maybe they will move to remove ionomy like peakd-hive is doing. Ionomy is definitely is not safe anymore. Shame really. I really liked the fact it was nonkyc...
