Hug pillows are my lifesaver! I discovered them when I was struggling with back pain, even though they were initially designed for pregnant women. It turned out that these cute things are incredibly versatile: they can be used to get comfortable on the couch, relax while working, or take a nap in the spring when the heating is already off but the weather is still not quite warm.
My dogs also appreciated these miracle pillows. However, to avoid curious excavations, I only allow them to use them under my supervision.
My special fan is Donut. She is almost the smallest one (only Pechenye is smaller), but she is older and more timid. Therefore, Donut needs comfort and security more than anyone else. I think the hug pillow is like a cozy burrow for her, where she can hide from other dogs, some of whom can be rude and sometimes try to offend the baby. Of course, I always watch for this and stop any attempts, but Donut still doesn't feel completely confident.
I remember how my ex and I found Donut on the road. A tiny puppy was running straight under our wheels. The huge woman walking next to him categorically refused him, saying that he was not hers and was just following her from the market. I think someone just threw the puppy away, because, unfortunately, some people in our country consider sterilization of dogs and cats a sin, but throwing an animal to certain death is normal. Such people make me furious!
Anyway, we took the baby. She became the seventh dog in our house and my little girl who loves hug pillows.
In the evenings, when all the chores are done, Donut and I settle down on the couch. She lies at my feet, hugging her favorite pillow, and we watch some kind of good movie together. At such moments, I see how she relaxes, becomes calm and happy.
And I realize that these hug pillows are more than just a comfortable thing. They are a symbol of love, care and security that my little Donut needs so much, and I am happy to give it to her.
