My dogs love to sleep on the bed. It wouldn't be a problem if they didn't chew the bed linen. My blankets and pillows are constantly in holes and the filler flies around the room with white clouds. One day I decided to take revenge on them. I bought bed linen with a pattern of "Cats". Of course, this is a joke and the drawing itself did not make any impression on my dogs, but it was funny for me to see them on this blad.
Once upon a time, there were two dogs named Bim and Bom who considered the bed their rightful territory. They didn't just sleep on it; they made it their home, chewing pillows, tearing sheets, and turning blankets into fluffy cocoons. Their human, tired of this mayhem, decided to get even.
"Aha," she thought, "I'll outsmart them!" So, she went to the store and bought new bedding. She chose the brightest one she could find, covered in giant cats. "Let them see who's the real predator here!" she gloated.
At home, she made the bed and waited eagerly for the dogs' reaction. Bim and Bom, accustomed to plain sheets, were taken aback at first. But their curiosity got the better of them. They cautiously sniffed the new covers, pawed at the soft feline faces. But to their human's great disappointment, nothing extraordinary happened.
Bim simply lay down in his favorite spot and fell asleep, while Bom started chewing on the corner of the sheet with the same enthusiasm as always. Their human sighed. Her clever plan had failed. It turned out that her dogs weren't afraid of cats, not even the ones on the bedding. They just loved sleeping on the bed and chewing on anything that wasn't nailed down.
And so, their life together continued: the dogs slept on the bed, their human bought new bedding, and the cats on the pictures remained untouched. Sometimes, as she drifted off to sleep, their human would smile, imagining her dogs chasing these painted cats in their dreams. Or maybe they just considered them their new toys?
Moral of the story: Never underestimate the ingenuity and stubbornness of dogs. They will always find a way to bring you joy (or sorrow), even if you try to outsmart them.
