Most people like to go to the beach or mountains during weekends to unwind but I prefer going to the farm to work.

Sure my rest day from work is only once per week and as much as I like to take some rest, I would feel guilty just lying around sitting till the day pass by. It had been always in me to do things while resting. Sometimes I do the laundry and take care of my kids during Sundays and more.

It's been months since my last visit to the farm; my husband got so busy these days because of basketball leagues which he had to referee plus the amateur boxers he had to train because the athletic meet is already coming. Aside from that, he had to get the kids from school every weekdays too.

Last Friday, my mother asked me to help her with planting in the farm which gave me opportunity to visit. I had to bring the kids and my husband was left with no choice but to drive us to the farm and eventually stayed because my mother had to go home at 12 to attend a senior's meeting. He had a basketball league to referee but chose to stay and help us do the work faster.

After our work, we decided to check on our crops and they are Growing well! Thanks be to God! It needs a little weeding off but we could use herbicides for cheaper faster results.

We were both so happy with how our crops were growing, and hopefully soon we will have a good harvest, in God's grace.

This is me, geared in jeans, jacket and sunglasses to do the work and I had my basket bag with me which I used to carry cassava tubes.

It was a hot day but the clouds were there to hide the sun sometimes. The air is very refreshing too! It's a wonderful experience for me. The job is sure tiring and heavy but it's all worth it knowing that we have lessened my mother's chores in the farm. It's fulfilling to see her smile and thanked us for our support.

It felt very good to see our crops growing well, we felt very blessed and I hope nothing will go wrong in the coming days.

This will be all for now, if you reached this far, thank you so much for your time and support. I'd like to hear from you, feel free to type in comments on my post.
