There are no right or incorrect ways to go through life

Looking back on your childhood, 40 years old seems so far away! You couldn't even imagine that you would reach their age. That was your parents' age. There was an excessive amount of excitement, fun, and experiences in life. 40 years old at that point meant you were elderly. You dreamed of having a worry-free life and discovering your calling or purpose.

You noticed that the time difference was not as great as it had been when you were in your 30s. You discovered that you were just ten years away from where you would need to be. You reflected deeply on your life and asked yourself if you had tried your hardest to realize your full potential. What more needed to be done, you wondered?

You had time to discover who you were. You had no regrets, as far as you knew, and you pursued your passions and aspirations. Even yet, there was an odd sensation that you were experimenting. It was evident to you from a quick look at your friends that you were still off course.

They all appeared to be leading ideal lives. Their children were doing exceptionally well in school and participated in more extracurricular activities than you could count on your fingers, and their professions were booming. Their mortgages were also nearly paid off, if not paid off entirely. Put simply, they possessed everything.
In this wild race called life, you, the traveler, appeared to be the slow sea turtle. You didn't feel whole in comparison to them. Your career was never linear. You have delved into so many different areas that your professional expertise has touched a wide range of fields.

Furthermore, your aspirations extended beyond obtaining a plot of land or other property, seeking approval from people, or pursuing financial gain. That whole situation didn't align with your way of thinking. You put people and experiences above everything else. Money was only a tool, nothing more. It never had a purpose. Your life had never been monotonous and had never followed any patterns. Peer pressure and social conventions never appealed to you. While your companions strolled down the isle wearing their wedding gowns, you rode aboard an airplane headed for a new location, prepared to take on fresh challenges.

One of the key tenets that sustained you was "Be true to yourself!" You made the decision that seemed right for you in every circumstance and were content with the result. You realized that reaching your 40s was not a time-related milestone when you eventually got there. Some adults in their 50s and 60s still don't know who they are. Despite their age, they still don't understand it.

Many of them took pleasure in remaining in their comfort zones and refrained from venturing outside of them to discover new things and realize their full potential. Their greatest regret is not attempting more because of fear. They believe that everything has an age and that time is something that will never return.

The majority of us believe that time is not on our side. that we should seize the opportunities we are given while they are available. It is useless to compare our experiences in life to those of others.

There are no right or incorrect ways to go about your life. The ideal moment to change careers, start a new project, settle down, have children, or do anything else doesn't exist. Timelines don't exist. Nothing is ever too late to do. Once you understand this, you will realize that you are right where you are meant to be.
