Do we seek meaning where there is none?

Life encompasses all that is connected to your existence, not just the act of being alive. Everything about you—your personal qualities, your activities, your relationships with friends and family, your goals and objectives, your income—is important to consider. Life is not just about traveling; it's also about how you travel.

Is There Even A Purpose for It?

One could contend that since death is the ultimate destination of our trip, it is utterly pointless. Despite all of our efforts, hardships, successes, and mistakes, we all pass away and are forgotten by history. What then is the goal of this?

Though I won't even try to pretend to know the answer, I am certain of this. Every individual always aspires to give their life significance. Perhaps that is the irony of it all—looking for significance in the absence of any. However, I think that none of our efforts can be in vain because, no matter how tiny, we all leave a legacy—one that builds upon the work of those who came before us and is there for future generations to draw lessons from.

We are progressing the human race by doing this. Even the extent to which each of us has contributed is irrelevant. Every little donation advances our cause.

What, however, is our cause?

Therefore, we can, in a sense, provide significance to individual lives by understanding that we are all little cogs in the larger human machine, each with a certain function to play for the good of society.

But what EXACTLY is that cause? Where is the human race headed? Unlike its constituents, humanity does not naturally live to a certain age. Thus, barring a worldwide calamity that wipes us out, it seems likely that we will live on forever.

Furthermore, if we are able to discover our purpose in any way, it will raise even more concerns. Who set that goal for us? And why? I'm tired of thinking about it all, so let's check out some opinions from other people.

What Others Are Saying About It...

According to some, life is merely a series of random events. That is all. We don't have a big plan or specific path in mind. What we make of ourselves is who we are. To be honest, this makes perfect sense.

According to some scholars, humanity's ultimate goal is to become so technologically sophisticated that we can transform into sentient entities. creatures who transcend all physical states and who, according to eastern philosophy, become one with all things by assimilation into the universal energy itself.

Others claim that our goal is to colonize every planet in the cosmos and develop into an extraterrestrial species. However, I believe it would be human hubris to believe that this is our aim. Although we might be able to accomplish this in the future, it cannot be the main objective.

Greetings😊
