Though death is undoubtedly not one of our many desires as humans. It goes without saying that we all understand this inevitability, but we nonetheless act as though we have unlimited time. The fact of the matter is that unnatural events such as illnesses or accidents might sever us from our loved ones at any time. Our lives will nonetheless terminate in old age and death, even if we are fortunate enough to lead a regular existence.

The natural course of aging and death is ordained by our biology. As the elderly die off and make way for new life to flourish, I suppose that's how nature maintains equilibrium.

Everyone has witnessed people in films make vain attempts to overcome death. People who attempt to defy nature's laws are frequently depicted as villains. But what if we attempt to accomplish the same objective on our own? Some of the brightest minds in the world are currently researching ways to extend human lifespans, and one day, we may even become immortal.

Over the past century, human lifespan has already expanded significantly because to the rapid advancement of technology.

Yes, the high infant mortality rate a century ago had a huge impact on the reduced number, but it was just one cause among many. There were no treatments available for illnesses that are now thought to be widespread in modern society.

Undoubtedly, medical research has advanced significantly, giving us the means to prevent illness and live longer lives. Furthermore, modern surgical technology has advanced to the point that sophisticated surgery can now be performed by robots!

So, even though we have already made significant progress toward increasing human longevity, we are only now beginning. Being long-lived is not the goal. We might become immortals at some point.

Will Eternity Become a Good in the Future?

It seems like only a crazy scientist would strive for immortality. However, there is so much research being done on extending human longevity that, directly or indirectly, it might all result in our becoming immortals at some point.

I assume you are already aware of the advancements being made in the field of nanobots, which one day will swim in our bodies in swarms to heal any and all ailments, constantly mending our cells, and prolong our lives in good health.

Then, there will be immediate treatments for every terminal illness. In fact, we might become practically immune to all diseases if genetic editing is perfected.

Bio-enhancements are another option. These are currently restricted to a few body parts, but in not too far off time, we will be able to replace any organ or portion of our body with an artificial one that will function just as well and be able to be replaced as often as necessary. It would be similar to updating your bodily parts in the same way that we do with our cellphones these days!

Greetings😊
