Creating Bond with Family/Friends

Get-togethers with family is the best opportunity to unwind, spend time with loved ones, and learn about current events. You eventually grow to miss the nagging and the mocking as well. It's not always simple to be by yourself, without your loved ones. You may feel the effects of it.

Creating new friends is harder when you're older. The past has taught me to be wary about trusting people. You can't be open-minded and make new acquaintances if you're afraid of being harmed. Your emotional baggage thus functions as a catalyst for your suspicion whenever you meet someone new. You have erected walls around yourself that are too thick and high for anybody to scale or collapse. After a few unsuccessful attempts to connect with you, even the most dedicated people would give up.

Reunions with family or reestablishing contact with former acquaintances give you the impression of being in a secure space where you can relax and be yourself. Being on defense all the time is unhealthy because it wears you out both physically and mentally. Your perception is what has to shift. It's important to learn to let go of expectations and to go with the flow.

Not every human being is fortunate enough to come from a loving household. For one reason or another, millions of people worldwide do not have any relationship with their family members. Nothing like that—no family get-togethers, no Christmas cards, no holidays spent together. How do they continue to survive?

Being independent is beneficial. They are more gregarious when they have no expectations and an open mind. Some of them truly manage to meet new people and form new friendships because of their what have I got to lose mindset.
