Hace cinco meses, mi vida se llenó de una luz nueva y radiante llamada Gemma. Aunque la distancia física me separa de mi preciosa nieta, quien está en Maracaibo, Venezuela, el amor y la conexión entre ellos eran más fuertes que cualquier frontera.
Desde el momento en que Gemma llegó al mundo, quedé cautivado por su dulzura y su inocencia. A través de las videollamadas y las fotos que recibía a diario, puedo ver cómo Gemma crece y descubrir el mundo con sus ojos curiosos.
A pesar de la distancia, me aseguro de estar presente en cada hito y momento especial de Gemma. Celebro cada sonrisa, cada balbuceo y cada pequeño logro como si estuviera allí mismo, abrazando a mi nieta con amor y orgullo.
Los cinco meses junto a Gemma se convirtieron en los más hermosos de mi vida. Cada vez que veo su rostro en la pantalla, siento una alegría indescriptible y una sensación de plenitud que llena mi corazón.
Aunque anhelo poder abrazar a Gemma en persona y sentir su cálido abrazo, sé que mi amor trasciende la distancia y que siempre estaremos unidas por un lazo inquebrantable.
Así, en medio de la distancia geográfica, pero cerca en el corazón, disfruto cada momento con mi preciosa nieta Gemma, sabiendo que el amor y la conexión solo crecerán con el tiempo.

Five months ago, my life was filled with a radiant new light called Gemma. Although physical distance separates me from my beautiful granddaughter, who is in Maracaibo, Venezuela, the love and connection betweenus are stronger than any border.
From the moment Gemma came into the world, I was captivated by the sweetness of her and the innocence of her. Through the video calls and photos I receive daily, I can see how Gemma grows and discovers the world through her curious eyes.
Despite the distance, I make sure to be present for Gemma's every milestone and special moment. I celebrate every smile, every babble, and every small accomplishment as if I were right there, holding my granddaughter with love and pride.
The five months with Gemma became the most beautiful of my life. Every time I see her face on the screen, I feel an indescribable joy and a sense of fulfillment that fills my heart.
Although I long to be able to hug Gemma in person and feel her warm embrace, I know that my love transcends distance and that we will always be united by an unbreakable bond.
So, in the midst of geographical distance, but close at heart, I enjoy every moment with my precious granddaughter Gemma, knowing that the love and connection will only grow with time.
