Respect is a feeling that is earned; believing it can be imposed is a misunderstanding of what it really is. After reading about the duty of children towards their parents, I am eager to continue reading about the duty of parents towards their children. Life is a series of battles; sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. What's important is to learn something from them and know how to take the hits. Personally, I believe that the best weapon parents can provide to their children is Knowledge, both to understand the world they live in and to remain in control of the technologies they use. Not to mention, it helps them escape the business of credulity that continues to grow.
