The things that made me popular

Hello People!🙌

I'm very sure you're doing good, keep enjoying 👍.

High school days

During my high school days, I wasn't so popular because I wasn't among those who did show-offs or talked in class. The only major ways people got to me were through bullying and my performance in exams.
I was severely bullied because of my complexion. I was being called the son of the principal because the man is very fair in complexion, getting to the stage of an albino, and the worst thing is that he's psychiatric. You know how painful it is to be likened to the son of a madman because I'm fair. This situation made me popular.

Also, the only time I was opportune to have ladies come my way was when I became the best student in biology and economics, but it was too late for me to welcome such bonding because we were already graduating then.

During Higher Education

  • My surname!

I wanted to be popular here, but I was very far from the settings until one section where my surname was used to share the whole class in a group for practicals. We had groups like "F to Okpala1," "F to Okpala2," and so on. The names of the groups were sweet and funny to pronounce, and that's how I got well known in the class of 500+.

  • A church person!

I was a very serious Christian as an usher, and 70% of my classmates were members of the same church as me. This made me popular because they always saw me in church. But I used to disappoint them whenever it comes to class prayers. They would expect me to lead the prayers based on how serious I am in my church, but I don't even join them, let alone lead prayers. I don't do eye service!

  • Charging of phones!

One of the things I was known for and attracted a lot of friends was charging of phones during and after lectures. It sounds awkward, right?

My school city suffered (and is still suffering) from poor electricity, and there's always electricity at school, which we decided to use as a means to survive the lack of electricity in the town.

I'm a phone addict, and I don't like my phone to go down for any reason, so I always pick up my phone charger whenever I'm going to school, where I oftentimes stay behind after lectures to charge my phone.
I met a lot of like-minded people on the building section we normally use for charging phones, and we got along.

As for my friends, once they check around in the class areas and I'm not there, they know where to find me without calling my phone to inquire about my whereabouts.

At one point, I became the leader of the group of guys in my class that go to charge their phones. Like, they would wait and confirm first from me before we all head out to charge our gadgets.
