Hey all,

To begin with, this post is going to be dedicated for something that I have noticed on Steemit recently.

The history..?
Do you know the history of Steem? In particular, what was happening at the time of introducing Hive.

I'll brief you out on something that I have read, so you may go ahead and do your own research on this.
There was a talk about Steem being taken over about someone in this space. As, the influence of the whole platform was going towards one person.
Long story short, the community of Steem decided to fork and introduce Hive. Like, what happens with many projects.

Anyway, that was not my point of writing this. Let's go back to the beginning of this thread. I noticed something that seemingly strange.
A user verification?
Yes, a user verification. If you have been blogging on such platforms for a while, you would know that they do not require any verification (or any blog or forum for that matter). Really, there are less platforms as such that require verification than there are who requires it.
Plus, the whole platform is about voting to who benefits the community more than those who you know best..

Let's get to the best part here, guides to the Introduction post:
2- Proof of identity. (But, no IDs required).
3- A short video introducing yourself.
4- Link Steem to your social media accounts.

There are 8 tips in total. However, I am not going to share the whole list as this is not a sponsored content by Steem or any other platform.

At last, I would like to end with a statement taken from Steem's newcomer's post itself. The previous programme "served a valuable purpose".

I will leave you with that and I will look forward to seeing your thoughts on this..?
