Old Miss's Wisdom

"To win I desire Old Miss",
said the young mice,
the prince, to his niece.
Then said Old Miss to her prince,
read slowly but firmly you must,
go lightly but nicely you should,
hold deeply but clearly you would,
pray mutely but loudly you read,
and act gently but promptly to win;
for your words may be old,
yet, to win is to write it new
in the world's heart.
