The one who acknowledges his helplessness is the one who is up for a divine intervention. The one is who is comfortable with his bonds only sees them as an accessory and sees no need to do away with them.
Men breakthrough and break forth when then become uncomfortable with their predicament. The devil is very crafty in the sense that he tries as much as possible to make man comfortable in his precarious situation, so he sees no need to get out of it. This is why many can sit and walk comfortably in darkness.
Many people minds have been so twisted by the enemy that it's hard for them to see another reality apart from what they are currently going through in life.
So part of the ways that God helps them is by enlightening their minds and helping them to see His will and purpose for them in contrast to the woeful life that the enemy have made them comfortable in.
