Persistence pays handsomely in cash
and in kind,
especially when the cause is right
and the motive is free of greed
and personal gain.
The road may not be straight
as is always the case
in most journeys
that lead to a desired or desirable
destinations.
The facts may not be clear
or well-founded
as is often the case
when God and the gods
are the guide.
The details may be fuzzy
as is sometimes the norm
in the mind of a naive bit seeking,
innocent young man or woman.
But when an all out effort is exerted,
and the gods of luck and goodwill
are purposefully invoked
and they willingly accept to do
their part,
and the timing is right,
and the motive is just,
and hope is high,
and the mind is unwavering,
then persistence have no choice
but to pay and pay
handsomely.
