Many a people desire to know the truth but not many are willing to pay the price for it. Many ask; where and what is the truth? But not many ask for it's cost.
In the book of Luke 14:28 our Lord Jesus asked, "For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?" This question reveals to us that wisdom demands that we sit down and count the cost for every endeavor that we wish to embark on, including seeking for the truth. Many have found themselves unable to pay the price for the truth though they want it.
The rich man came to Jesus and desired to know the truth and when he was presented with it, he found out that he wasn't rich enough to pay the price for it. Every one who desire to follow Jesus who is the Truth must be ready to deny self and to carry their cross daily.
The price for Truth is death to self. We must be willing to drop our own ideology and philosophy and to embrace the Truth.
