Search With All Your Heart

In our pursuit for God we are admonished to search for the Lord with all of our heart, the reason for this is because God is King and he doesn't share his dominion in our lives with anyone or anything. So in our pursuit for God, we must make sure to dethrone every idol that we have enthroned in our heart and live above God. Many a times we claim to be seeking after God with our whole heart but in reality we are not. God who knows the heart of men knows when we are actually seeking him with our whole heart. No heart that is given to vanity can find God, for no man can serve two master at the same time. The heart must be purged of self, vanity, the world and sin if it must find God. Seeking God is a search; it's not something that is accomplished on a wimp, it is a labour and diligent search. A man who is looking for his misplaced phone will search thoroughly and patiently until he finds it ; the same attitude must be maintained when seeking God. We must seek God with determination, patience and a hunger to find him. Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
