This is the act or state of devoting or being devoted or dedicated. As a Christian your walk with God can only progress upward and forward when you are devoted to the Lord. Consistency in prayer, bible study, fellowship, evangelism, obedience to the Holy Spirit is what it takes to grow and to mature in the faith.
God does not reveal Himself to those who are not devoted to seeking him continuously; the Bible says in the book of 1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
A spiritual man is one who is devoted to His course, he doesn't joke with his spiritual discipline and activities.
My advice to us today is that we should never allow the business of the day to rob us of our devotion to our God and His kingdom, for in the end everything will pass away and only those who does the will of the Father will abide for ever.
