The problem with you, @lucilin, is that you complain a lot about Blurt in every other post, but you never stop to move your head and think about what you're doing in a wider context.

Oh these evil psychopaths, authoritarian bastards and narcissists who create DPOs... Pure evil, unintelligent, unnatural system, everything is evil...

And well, of course you are right in some points, the problem is that you live an idealized utopian vision of what reality should look like. That it should be "natural and healthy". So you spit on everything that does not fit this vision 100%. The problem is that because of this approach you forgot about big picture.

Dpos, and especially Blurt, is of course not perfect and has many flaws that could be improved, but the problem is that it is still much better than 99% of the Internet...

This is a place where any guy from the street can write something and get a few pennies for the recognition of his friends and thus become a co-owner of the platform. It is also a place where you can publish anything and although it can be hidden, it cannot be deleted or demonetized so if your friends vote for you you still get some penny.

And let's say that even in the worst case scenario, Blurt's fate will be such that it will become a place controlled by a small clique of witnesses who will collect 75% of the profits and only 25% will go to the rest. let's say @megadrive becomes the next Zuckerberg... :D

As long as the two things I mentioned above are an element of blurt, it will still be better than 99% of the Internet where you have regular demonetization of politically incorrect content. censorship by shadow banning consisting in wiping accounts and data, manipulation and collection of user data. And most users participate in this and build it, practically for free without no shares no single penny.

And here's the issue you're not getting. You attack narcissists and authoritarian bastards on the Blurt and think you are fighting with evil, but the truth is that you are actually WORKING for them!

It's thanks to people like you, Blurt, and other libertarian platforms never develop, because before the initiative has a chance to spread its wings, always complaining, flustered guys who are constantly looking for flaws in everything will always make so much stink that no one wants to be there anymore.

And here we come to the point. There are thousands of authors who receive nothing for their rights, whom Youtube, Facebook and other giants block and demonetize for their views. There are also hundreds of alternative companies promoting food, medicines, toys, etc. that are better than mainstream ones. who can't reach alternative-minded people despite paying thousands of dollars for advertising to big tech companies.

They would be able to reach such people on blurt and they would pay all the authors who write here for this advertising, finance the functioning of this platform and also raise awareness among a lot of people.

Additionally, the Blurt cryptocurrency, in situations such as in Canada, when the government started blocking people's accounts because they protested, could be a means of payment that supports such people.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be a little better than what we have on the Internet now. You can live with idealistic thinking, but the reality is that if you manage to do something better, it is real progress.. And people yelling that everything is wrong is just what makes authoritarian win.

That's why, Dpos in a form such as Blurt, is worth supporting and developing despite its disadvantages.
