3. Respect design copywrite
This one is simple. We need to be careful. Do you know you can be sued for designing? Yes.
Lemme explain. In Graphic design, there is what we call Replicating and Modelling a design.
Replicating is designing exactly what another designer has created. Modelling is getting inspirations from a design.
Now, when you replicate a design and you want to post it online, always remember to acknowledge the original designer. In cases where the designer refuses to accept and some person replicated exactly with acknowledgement, it's very possible that the person can receive a court letter that has to do with suing him.
So if you know the designer always acknowledge them. If you don't, refer to where you got the design from. E.g; I tried to replicate a design by @(the owner of the design), or I tried to create a masterpiece by @(the owner of the design). You can also go by saying I saw a designer create this on Pinterest and I decided to try my fingers
4. Collaborating with designers
You need networking. Most of your jobs will not come directly from clients but from your fellow designers who maybe have more than enough jobs at hand. If you feel like you know it all on the design space, it's a lie. Even top designers still invite other designers to come and teach their audience.
We are not in a competition. Life is generally not fair. But if you have the right people you connect with, it becomes easier.
Finally...
5. Continuous learning
If you have a goal and the goal is to become one of the known designers then you just have to keep learning. What makes us different is that thing we learn after we have learnt everything.
There's a saying that one of the best gift is self-development, and it's true. You want to make 200k in 2 months? Keep learning. Want to make 1m in a month? Still keep learning, both within and outside.
Look for different voices to listen to. Read books. Attend classes. Buy courses. Meet people, and see yourself advance. The truth of the matter is once have gotten enough value,
even if your designs are not too sharp, people will still come to you.
