Number two sign is if you having a lot of muscle spasms. This can indicate a magnesium and or potassium deficiency. Of course, we need these important minerals for our proper contraction and relaxation of our muscles.
Number three is bleeding gums. When you're flossing or brushing your teeth, if you're noticing some blood there, that is abnormal.
This could be related to a vitamin C deficiency.
Vitamin C helps to maintain that proper blood flow in our blood vessels. And it helps to strengthen our blood vessel walls. When we're lacking in that vitamin C, this is when we can have bleeding issues.
That could be bleeding gums, as I said, but nose bleeds, easy bruising as well, related to that low vitamin C.
Number four is if you get longitudinal ridges on your nails. This may indicate an iodine deficiency. This could be related to some toxicity concerns. So if you've had a lot of exposure to fluoride, that could be a dental product in the drinking water that you may have or even chlorine. Swimming in chlorinated pools, drinking chlorinated tap water can cause your thyroid to be compromised because it's going to offset your proper binding of your iodine because of those other halogens, the chlorine and the fluoride.
Number five is if you are prone to sores in your mouth, that can indicate a vitamin B12 deficiency, which is often linked to a sun deficiency as well. So sun being our greatest nutrient giver, of course, that lack of natural sunlight exposure can drop your B12 levels and make you more susceptible
to those sores.
