If you're looking for a natural solution for better sleep, I've got four of my favorite herbal medicines to sleep better. Some of the advantages of taking herbal medicines for sleep is that they're not habit forming like a lot of the conventional meds that you may be taking or not taking for that reason that you don't want to become addicted to them, as well as there's no hangover effect.
So if you take these herbal medicines that I'm going to describe, in the right dosage at the right time you're not going to wake up lightheaded, which is again another side effect
that a lot of people have unfortunately experienced when they've taken conventional meds for sleep.
My first herbal medicine is Valerian. Now Valerian helps to relieve nervousness. So also if you've got anxiety, nervousness, tension, anxiety attacks, the Valerian really helps to calm down the nervous system, amazing as a sleep aid as well.
The second one is Skullcap. Now Skullcap relaxes the entire nervous system. It's great for all types of anxiety, for stress, even for irritability because think about it. Some people do get very irritable when they're super stressed out. It can also be very helpful especially for women in perimenopause and menopause. It really helps to balance out and relax the nervous system.
Number three on my list Passion Flowers. This is a great herbal medicine that helps to balance the emotions. It helps with regulating your mood and helps with your nervous sensitivity.
So it can also be used to decrease nicotine and drug withdrawal symptoms. So when you're trying to get off of certain substances, maybe because you've been too stressed out and you've gone to the cigarettes or other substances, then this herbal medicine is fantastic. The Passion Flower at just helping to keep the emotions steady and balanced and relaxing that nervousness.
My fourth favorite herbal medicine is Lemon Ball. Lemon Ball when taken in the right dosage helps to induce a nice, peaceful, restful sleep.
The Lemon Ball is really known to help to ease those GI symptoms as they are associated with stress and becoming sort of overstimulated in your gut because you are feeling nervous.
