Set a main point and stick to it.
Your content should serve what the reader is looking for, especially if it's related to the main point. Instead of talking about related topics, it's more advisable to put links about those write-ups that you have written before.
For example, if you're are writing on exercising and you want to talk about diet and it so happens that you have written on diet before, instead of writing about diet again and deviating from exercising, it is much better that you put up the link which you wrote on dieting for your readers to go visit.
Get to the point as soon as possible.
You need to keep introductions short. Your readers are more interested in what you have for them than your introduction. Go straight to the point as quickly as possible. Your inability to keep your introductions short and go straight to the point may lead to your readers not even getting to know what your content is about because they might lose interest before getting to the main idea of your content.
Make your content for specific people.
One important strategy of business is specificity—having a target audience. The same thing goes with writing contents as well. Your content should be directed to a specific set of people.
Trying to get all manner of people with different interests to consume your content is not possible. You need to decide the set of people that you want to reach out to through your content and stick with it.
