Here's a guide on six different ways to meditate:
The first and most simplest way is to focus on your breath. Just bring your awareness to the inhale and the exhale. Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth. If staying focused feels difficult, then count to four on the inhale. Hold your breath for four seconds
and again exhale on a count to four. This is also known as box breathing.
The second method is transcendental or mantra meditation. He has simply taken mantra
and repeated softly in your mind again and again. The mantra could be as simple as I am or warm or any of the mantra which feels right for you. To make this even easier, you can listen to the mantra at the same time to keep you even more focused.
The third type is body scan meditation.
Imagine a board of light traveling through each part of your body. Style with your feet and slowly make your weight to the top of your head, covering each and every section of your body. Preferably do this lying down for complete relaxation.
The fourth method is visualization.
Close your eyes and visualize positive images in your mind. Imagine your goals already manifested and feel the gratitude to this brings.
To make this easier, do this whilst listening to nature sounds or lifting music. The more emotion you attach, the more powerful this practice becomes.
The fifth method is stratica. This is where you pick an object and stare at it as long as you can.
This will increase your focus and concentration.
This method might work better for people who struggle to visualize or focus on the breath for extended periods of time. Let your thoughts come and go and refocus back on the object
if you find yourself wondering or getting distracted.
The final method is guided meditation.
Nowadays, there are plenty of apps and YouTube videos which can guide you through a meditation step-by-step. Here, someone will literally talk you through the entire meditation
and it will usually combine elements of all the methods that we've previously gone through.
Ultimately, it doesn't really matter which technique you use. Just pick one that works for you. Hope this serves helpful to someone.
