Azrael - A Way of Life; Silence!

Azrael is set in an apocalyptic world with a story that unfolds without dialog. The elements of suspense and horror are built on silence, and at times, I would say it succeeds.

It offers an extraordinary experience with the dark atmosphere created and the characters consisting of community members who consider it a sin to speak.

In general, all the elements of the movie and the creature figures that are tried to be created are processed through the character of Azrael. Tension and fear are handled in one direction and lose their impact after a while.

The beginning of the story was quite good, but then the inconsistent behavior of the creatures took away the tension reflected by the silence. Towards the middle of the story, I can say that the movie broke away from the thriller and horror genre.

The community and the cult, which considers talking a sin, successfully reflects this method they have developed to protect themselves from their deadly creatures. However, the story is incoherent and incoherent as to why this is needed or what the purpose is.

I can say that the beginning is very good but the rest is a very bad script and fiction. The horror that is tried to be given through the creatures is visually successful, but there is no sense of the existence of the creatures and what they want to do.

I was expecting the last scene of the movie to tie the whole story together and give me the meaning I thought I was missing, but it didn't fulfill my expectations and threw the story in the trash!

The fact that the origins of the sect, which is silent in order to protect itself from creatures, is based on creatures and is half-human, was quite contrary to the fiction and atmosphere created up to that point.

Those who have seen it will remember the movie A Quiet Place. In that production, the successful atmosphere and tension created through silence was quite ineffective in Azrael.

As the story progresses with disconnected scenes, you understand the disconnection in many scenes and cannot fully immerse yourself in the fiction. The story progression and the performances of the actors, which are inadequate and mediocre in terms of story progression and processing, do not provide an upward momentum.

The tension provided at the beginning becomes ineffective as the story progresses. For myself, I think the biggest reason for this is the inconsistencies and inconsistencies in the story that progresses through the creatures. You cannot see a unity in every sense.

Although there are some visually impressive moments in some scenes, there is no continuity and you often get disconnected from the story while watching. I can't say it's a good movie to watch, you may have serious problems in terms of continuing to watch until the end because of its inability to trigger emotions such as curiosity.

In my opinion, don't bother with the movie at all, and if you want to watch it, don't expect too much. The silence gets annoying after a while!
