This principle which is popularly known as 80/20 rule is also known as pareto principle , tells us that 80% of the outcomes is from 20% effort.
What this means in the professional world is that if a small amout of task will lead to a signifiacnt increase , focus on those task. Identify and focus on those activities that have high impact especially those that drive success and focus mainly on your goals as it can help one to improve their productivity in modern world.
Let us give a clear example of this, if you are into business and you have a 20% of your clients who give you 80% sales , focus more on those clients.
Also if you are a project manager and you were able to identify some task which are able to give yuo 80% progress , focus on those tasks.
This helps you to know the critical part of what you are doing so that you can channel your energy towards them.
