LIFE LESSON: Sometimes Your Perspective Might Be Wrong

The story is told of a young man in his twenties, he was traveling in a train, and then all of a sudden this guy shouted, he said,

"daddy, look at the trees, the trees are moving backwards, why is we're moving forward?"

His daddy didn't say anything, but then the couple, there was a couple actually sitting across them, and the couple looked at the dad, they were like shocked, like why is your son saying something like that, why is that strange to him, but they didn't say anything, they just gave him that look, and then like two minutes after, the boy shouted again, looking out the window,

"Daddy, daddy, look at the clouds, the clouds are running alongside us as the train is moving"

And at this point the couple couldn't keep quiet anymore, they turned to the dad and they said, don't you think you should take your son to see the doctor or something, he's acting strange, this is definitely not normal, and the dad smiled, he looked at them and he said,

"well, we're actually just coming from the doctor, My son has been blind from birth, and he just received his sight back today, so that's why you're seeing that everything is interesting to him, he's seeing things for the first time, and they were quiet"

Lesson Learned

I think about that story, and then I think about us sometimes, how we are so quick to make decisions, and we're so quick to pass judgment without seeing the full picture as to the reason why someone is acting the way they are acting, or the reason why someone did what they did.

And we don't even bother to ask what is happening, we just take our decision and then we keep, I believe that if we're humble enough, it is important for us to accept that sometimes we don't know everything, and sometimes our perspective is probably not the best perspective for us to use to make a decision about someone.

It's important we learn to extend grace, and accept that people are taking certain decisions based on what they see to be their reality.
