I stated in my previous blog that I will be sharing the procedures in making the Puto Cheese, one of our favorite snacks. With sharing this, I can also participate in the 92nd Edition My Favourite Food Contest by @blurtconnect-ng.

Sinabi ko sa aking nakaraang blog na ibabahagi ko ang mga pamamaraan sa paggawa ng Puto Cheese , isa sa aming mga paboritong meryenda. Sa pagbabahagi nito, maaari din akong lumahok sa 92nd Edition My Favorite Food Contest ni @blurtconnect-ng.



Puto Cheese Ingredients

  1. 2 cups all purpose flour
  2. 3/4 cup sugar
  3. 1 tbsp of baking powder
  4. 2 sachet of Alaska milk powder
  5. A pinch of salt
  6. 3 cups of water
  7. 2 large eggs
  8. vanilla
  9. Flavored food color
  10. Cooking oil
  11. Cheese

Puto Cheese Ingredients

1. 2 tasang all purpose flour
2. 3/4 tasa ng asukal
3. 1 kutsara ng baking powder
4. 2 sachet ng Alaska milk powder
5. Isang kurot ng asin
6. 3 tasa ng tubig
7. 2 malalaking itlog
8. vanilla
9. May lasa na kulay ng pagkain

PROCEDURES

First, combine all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and milk powder)

Second, prepare the wet ingredients ( water, egg, oil (5 tbsp) and vanilla).

Note: One could use butter or margarine instead of cooking oil.

Third, slowly put the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Keep stirring until all ingredients are mixed properly.

Note: It's better to sift the mixture after to make sure that there's no lumps form in it.

Pangatlo*, dahan-dahang ilagay ang mga tuyong sangkap sa mga basang sangkap. Patuloy na haluin hanggang ang lahat ng mga sangkap ay maihalo nang maayos.

Fourth, I divided the mixture into five and put the flavored food color on it except for the mixture in the circle container.

Sixth, I prepared the molders. I put very little amount of oil in each molder so the puto cheese mixture won't stick to it and it would be very easy to removed it when it's cook.

Seventh, I add a spoon of mixture on each molder then put cheese on top of it.

Eight, the water boiled already so it's time to steam the prepared mixture on the molders. In this amount of mixture, it will only take 5 to 6 minutes to steam it so after five minutes I check the steamed Puto Cheese.

Walo, kumulo na ang tubig kaya oras na para i-steam ang inihandang timpla sa mga molder. Sa dami ng halo na ito, 5 hanggang 6 na minuto lang ang ipapasingaw nito kaya pagkatapos ng limang minuto ay tiningnan ko ang steamed na Puto Cheese.

As soon as I check it, the cheese can't be seen anymore. It was filled in the middle so on the next batch I didn't put cheese on the mixture. I just added the cheese a minute before I would remove the steamer from the rice cooker and these were the results.

Pag check ko pa lang, hindi na makikita yung cheese. Napuno ito sa gitna kaya sa susunod na batch ay hindi na ako naglagay ng keso sa pinaghalong. Nilagyan ko lang ng keso isang minuto bago ko tanggalin ang steamer sa rice cooker at ito ang naging resulta.

The cheese on top of the Puto looks satisfying. As soon as my husband arrived, we ate all of it We're very full and was very satisfied because the Puto Cheese I made were so fluffy, and we love it because it's not overly sweet. It suit to our taste and the aroma of each flavor made it more tastier on every bite.

Do you want to eat it? You can try making it. Just follow the procedures I made and for sure you will all love it too.

Mukhang kasiya-siya ang keso sa ibabaw ng Puto. Pagdating pa lang ng asawa ko, kinain na namin lahat Busog na busog kami at sobrang nabusog dahil malambot ang Puto Cheese na ginawa ko, at gusto namin ito dahil hindi ito masyadong matamis. Nababagay ito sa ating panlasa at ang aroma ng bawat lasa ay naging mas masarap sa bawat kagat. Gusto mo bang kainin ito? Maaari mong subukang gawin ito. Sundin mo lang ang procedures na ginawa ko at for sure magugustuhan mo rin.



Why do we love this food?

First, it's delicious. It's a perfect pair for coffee, soda, tea, etc.
It's fluffy and savory which made it more addicting to eat. This food is part of my childhood memory too. A memory of my grandma and me while we were on vacation on my father's house on the city and there was a lady who sold this to us. I didn't know the name of it before but the taste of it remained on my mind. On the present time whenever I eat it, it brought me back on that happy memory.
Lastly, it made us full when we consumed it.

Una, masarap. Ito ay isang perpektong pares para sa kape, soda, tsaa, atbp. Ito ay malambot at malasa kaya mas nakakaadik itong kainin.
