My favourite boat these days is my Perception 10 Recreational kayak.
It’s light enough to carry with one arm so pretty easy to portage almost anywhere.
Usually I am out kayaking on the rivers and streams here in Ontario, Quebec and New York… and sometimes venture out onto the Big Water of the Great Lakes …
Georgian Bay on Lake Huron and Pancake Bay on Lake Superior on summer Holidays with family.
I have had my kayak (s) for over 20 years now… 2 Wilderness and 2 Perception. They have some pretty nice kayaks at Wal-Mart and Canadian Tire these days. Not too expensive…
I have tried both canoes and kayaks over the years and prefer the more portable and stable Recreation kayaks (ie: 30” wide)
They are great boats and I highly recommend that everyone give it a try.
