Capturing Moldova: A Photographic Journey Through Old and New

in blurt-1234567 •  last year

In a previous post, I discussed the iconic square in the capital of Moldova. In this photo, the focus shifts to the square, showcasing a prominent church. During my visit to Chisinau, I explored not only this church but also two graveyards and numerous other churches. Unfortunately, this particular church remained elusive as its doors were consistently locked whenever I attempted to enter. At a certain point, I reluctantly accepted this and shifted my focus.

Moldova offers a photographer's paradise, catering to every aesthetic preference. Throughout my stay, I traversed the city extensively, witnessing a diverse array of sights. From relics of the Soviet era, displaying unassuming architecture, to modern, stunning malls rivaling those found in Europe, Moldova's landscape captivated me. It was a time of awe and wonder, and each step I took was met with a new, intriguing discovery. The contrast between the old and the new, the traditional and the modern, made my experience in Moldova all the more fascinating.
