L'île de Sal Rei est situé tout proche de la ville de Sal Rei à Boa Vista. Il a connu un passé assez récent et paradoxal à la fois. Après avoir abrité un fort armé de 7 canons pour lutter contre la piraterie, l'îlot sera utilisé comme lieu de quarantaine pour éloigné les malades. Aujourd'hui, c'est l'un des lieux les plus prisés pour les barbecue du dimanche ! Comme quoi, avec le temps, les priorités changent !!
