Hello everyone
Phuket had been dry for days, with sunny mornings becoming the new norm. After dropping my son off at school, I decided to take advantage of the clear weather and drove to Saphan Hin Public Park. It had been a while since I visited the park, and I wanted to catch the sunrise and get some exercise.
Since my son started studying closer to home, I found it harder to make time for Saphan Hin. The park was now quite a distance away, making it inconvenient for my daily routine. Instead, I usually ended up exercising at home, which wasn't quite the same.
Despite the absence of rain for many days, the sun during the rainy season lacked the brilliance and size it had in the dry season. The morning air was filled with activity as people flocked to Saphan Hin Public Park to exercise. Some were walking, others jogging, and a few riding bicycles. This was a large park, accommodating everyone.
As I arrived at the park, I felt a sense of nostalgia. The sun was just starting to rise, casting a warm glow over everything. I began my exercise routine, enjoying the fresh air and the peaceful surroundings. It reminded me of the times when I used to come here regularly, before life got busier.
I realized how much I missed this place. Exercising at home was convenient, but it lacked the beauty and tranquility of Saphan Hin. I made a mental note to try and visit the park more often, even if it wasn't every day. It was a small effort, but the joy it brought was worth it.
Looking out over the sea, fishermen could be seen in their boats, diligently catching fish. The sea around Saphan Hin Public Park was rich with life, providing a source of abundance for the local community. Most of the villagers in this area depended on subsistence fishing, gathering aquatic animals for both their consumption and for sale.
For anyone who came to exercise here, this sight was a familiar one. The routine of watching fishermen at work had become part of the daily rhythm, blending seamlessly with the serene and lively atmosphere of the park.
After my jog, I decided to rest and take photos of the white wooden bridge that extended into the sea. This morning, the sea level was nearly as high as the bridge. As I walked along the bridge, strong waves frequently crashed into me, creating a thrilling and dynamic experience.
This spot offered a stunning angle for photography. The blue sky contrasted beautifully with the white wooden bridge, enhancing the image even more. It was the perfect setting to capture the serene yet powerful essence of the sea.
Nearby, there is a sunfish sculpture installed near the sea. It is made of metal and shaped like a fish, with a large round hole in the middle. If it were summer, the sunrise would align perfectly with this hole, creating a breathtaking sight. However, during other seasons, the sun rises at a different angle, and it doesn't line up directly with the circle.
The morning atmosphere at the seaside was incredibly refreshing. Feeling invigorated, I decided to go for another jog.
At Saphan Hin Public Park, not only is there a beautiful seaside in the heart of Phuket city, but also expansive mangrove forests and large green areas filled with towering Chamcha trees. These trees create enchanting tree tunnels, offering shade and tranquility. These green spaces serve as the lungs of the community and provide a restful haven for the people.
In another corner of Saphan Hin Park, a small canal is filled with local fishing boats moored in the harbor. Most of the villagers in this area make a living by fishing and searching for aquatic animals. The sky was clear, with large white clouds reflecting in the water, creating a beautiful sight. Today, in addition to exercising, I got to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery of nature.
