This morning, I had set my heart on watching the sunrise at Khao Rang Viewpoint. After dropping my son off at school, I immediately set off, eager to reach my destination. Fortunately, Khao Rang Viewpoint wasn’t far away, and the morning traffic was light, making the journey pleasant and quick.
I have always enjoyed traveling in the early hours of the day. The roads are peaceful, free from the usual congestion that plagues them later on. This morning was no different. The drive was smooth, and the city was just beginning to wake up as I made my way towards the viewpoint.

The drive to Khao Rang Viewpoint didn't take long, and I arrived around 6:30 a.m. The early hour bathed the surroundings in a soft, tranquil light. The atmosphere was quiet and deserted, except for a surprising sight—a group of large monkeys roaming around. This was unusual, as these monkeys typically stay hidden in the forest once tourists start arriving later in the morning.
Feeling fortunate, I watched the monkeys as they gathered in the parking area, undisturbed by the usual hustle and bustle of visitors. It was a rare and delightful experience, adding an unexpected touch of magic to my morning adventure. The serenity of the sunrise, coupled with the presence of these majestic creatures, made it a memorable start to the day.

As I approached the viewpoint, I noticed a large sign warning tourists not to feed the monkeys and to be cautious of the potential danger they pose. The sign emphasized that the monkeys might attack and cause injury. However, as I stood nearby to take photos, the monkeys didn't seem aggressive at all. Perhaps it was because I wasn't carrying any food; they barely noticed me. This allowed me to capture some incredible photos without any worry, further enhancing the peaceful and enchanting experience of the morning.

After taking pictures of the monkeys, I continued walking to the viewpoint built on a high hill. From this vantage point, you can see various buildings and structures, and even catch a glimpse of the sea. Normally, you can see the sunrise on the left-hand side in the morning. However, this morning was different. Being in the rainy season, the sun's angle had shifted, causing it to rise behind the bushes, obscuring the view.
Despite missing the sunrise, the atmosphere was still enchanting. A cool breeze blew constantly, making the weather refreshingly pleasant. The peaceful surroundings, combined with the fresh morning air, created a serene and rejuvenating experience. It was a perfect moment of tranquility, even without the sun's early rays painting the sky.

While I was admiring the beautiful scenery in front of me, a large monkey climbed up the fence slowly, like a king surveying his realm. Its movements were so graceful and skillful that I couldn't help but be captivated. The monkey climbed up and down the fence with such ease and confidence that I immediately grabbed my camera to capture the moment. It was a perfect addition to my morning, blending the tranquility of the landscape with the wild charm of the monkey's presence.

I spent quite some time admiring the view at Khao Rang Viewpoint. The peaceful atmosphere and the stunning scenery held my attention, making it difficult to leave. Eventually, I decided to continue my morning by heading to Phuket Old Town for a leisurely walk. The charming streets and vibrant culture of the old town promised a perfect follow-up to the serene start of my day.
