Baking Banana Muffins for the First Time

in blurt-121058 •  3 days ago

Hi everyone! Yesterday I made some muffins and I'd like to show you the process.

First, you'll need

  • 1 and 1/2 cups (188g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 and 1/2 cups mashed bananas (about 4 medium or 3 large ripe bananas)
  • 6 Tablespoons (85g) melted unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2/3 cup (135g) packed light or dark brown sugar
  • 1 egg, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tablespoons (30ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Take all the ingredients and throw them in a bowl and mix on medium speed until it looks like dough. (Pro tip: don't mix too much, we want some banana chunks in there for some extra ✨texture✨).

image

I recommend not mashing the bananas before putting them in the bowl because like I said before, we want those chunks for that ✨texture.✨

Here I put in the sugar, vanilla, flour, melted butter and baking powder. By now your oven should already be pre-heating to 425°F (218°C).

Throw that beauty of a dough into a muffin pan, and if the oven is hot enough, gently put the tray into the oven and bake for 20 minutes or if you stick a toothpick in the middle and it comes out clean.

RISE MY CHILDREN, RISE! MAY YOU BE COOKED TO THE VERY CORE!!

Anyways... whichever weirdo said that, (totally not me) waited very patiently for the beauty muffins to cook and took them out. RIP my baby finger that got burnt in the process...worth it.

When you take them out, they should be a golden brown color, wait for a couple minutes for the muffins of glory to cool down before eating them.

ENJOY! 👁️👅👁️

My family, friends and I got a happy stomach that day, my papa rated it an 8.5/10, that's really good!

If you have any questions about the muffins, please tell me because this is my first time taking my baking tutorials and showing it to the public. See you next time!

A little thanks to Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga for making the song "Die With A Smile" and keeping a good tune in our hearts as I danced in the kitchen and showed off my completely amazing singing skills 😎

Happy baking, and thank you for your time!
