Crazy Pizza

Hello friends!

These days I have been overwhelmed with a lot of work at the office. This is typical when you come back from vacation for Christmas. I haven't had much time to cook at home, but there are always places where you can eat delicious meals.

Yesterday, I teasted a pizza that I called a "crazy pizza" because it had everything I like in one preparation 😋

This is a pizza that had your typical Neapolitan sauce in the topping, but instead of cheese it had a layer of beef carpaccio and Caesar salad. I love both of these preparations. This pizza seemed just right for my tastes.

Beef carpaccio is a preparation of thin slices of raw beef seasoned with olive oil, pepper and mayonnaise. Caesar salad is based on lettuce, croutons, mayonnaise dressing with anchovies and Parmesan cheese. These are refreshing meals.

However, what I thought would be a pleasant experience did not live up to my expectations as the heat from the freshly baked pizza dough pre-cooked the meat and warmed the lettuce. Have you ever eaten heat lettuce? It is not pleasant. At least not for me ☹️

The beef carpaccio lost its characteristic tenderness when it was precooked. So I think it was appropriate to call this pizza the Crazy Pizza, but because the combination of its toppings is craziness 🙃

My lesson for future occasions is not to order preparations that mix hot and cold foods so drastically, at least not foods like lettuce with mayonnaise. I will eat these three preparations (pizza, beef carpaccio, and Caesar salad) separately.
