Thank you @angelica for inviting me to this wonderful community. Gardening is really one of my hobbies.
I can't say I'm an experienced gardener, but there are a few points that make me do it.
First of all, it is the idea that none of us can change the whole world, but each of us can create an amazing corner of our planet - our own garden. And it doesn't matter if you have a large garden or it's a tiny garden on your balcony or window sill. The garden is always an amazing positive energy of life and beauty, and the more gardens there are, the more harmonious our beautiful planet will be.
Secondly, my garden is my refuge, my corner of rest and meditation. There has been a war in my country for the third year. You can't get used to it in the sense that we never feel safe. And in order not to go crazy, you need a respite. You need a feeling that there is at least something you can influence. My garden gives me this rest. I come here and see the trees and flowers I have grown. It's familiar and stable and it gives hope.
Spring in my garden is also always a life-affirming gesture. After a difficult winter, nature wakes up, life returns, the first flowers appear. It's like a sip of faith that life will always be, the natural course of time.
The garden is fitness. Oh, yes! No fitness club will create the load you get by doing spring cleaning in the garden. 😉
The garden is a wonderful moment when there is still snow outside the window, and I'm already choosing seeds and sowing seedlings. In March 2022, russian tanks drove down my street. Death has never been so close. And do you know what I did? I found the seeds I had and sowed seedlings. It was my protest against the russian occupiers and my belief that our army would liberate us.
And finally, I want to show you what roses are in my collection. This year, four more species will be added to them!
