Dear Blurt Community,
I am thrilled to present the new version of my funding proposal 31 by the Blurt Decentralized Fund (BDF), replacing the previous one that expires in 10 days. First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all Blurtians who supported the previous proposal 24 with their votes. Thanks to your support, the previous proposal 24 received an impressive 11.62 million BP, placing it in second position, just 4 million BP behind the Blurt burning proposal.
What is the Blurt Decentralized Fund (BDF)
The Blurt Decentralized Fund (BDF) is a community-driven decentralized finance platform that operates on the Blurt blockchain. The BDF was created to provide financial support to Blurt ecosystem projects that contribute to the growth and development of the platform. The BDF operates through a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that allows stakeholders to collectively make decisions on funding proposals. Anyone can submit a proposal for funding, and the community votes to determine which proposals will receive funding. Proposals can range from technical development to marketing and community-building initiatives and are subject to community review and approval before funding is allocated.
Summary 2023
As we look back on 2023, it has been a year of significant progress and achievements for the Blurt ecosystem. Here is a summary of what has been accomplished.
Open-Source Tools and Connectors
In 2023, I published a number of open-source libraries for the Blurt blockchain, including updates to dblurt, the JSON-RPC connector, which is now at version 0.10.9 as of 10 days ago. You can access the full list here: BeBlurt GitLab repo.
Nexus Module
I have dedicated significant effort to the Nexus community module of the Blurt blockchain (as well as @techcoderx and @saboin), allowing the BeBlurt frontend, which I own, to be the first frontend to offer Blurtians the ability to create their communities and publish their posts there. In addition, I also addressed several issues in the Nexus module of the Blurt blockchain, as well as developed new features for the Nexus module such as the affiliate account system.
Testnet
This year also saw the establishment of a free TESTNET for the Blurt blockchain, including the Nexus module, I created for all developers wishing to develop without the risk of impacting the production blockchain.
Analytical Statistics
Every month, I also publish a highly detailed and unique monthly statistical analysis post, thanks to the development of a powerful blockchain analysis tool for the Blurt blockchain I made. This allows you to easily access important data, helping you more easily project your time and money investments on this blockchain and make well-informed decisions.
You also had the right to a number of explanatory posts on the blockchain.
I also contributed significantly to the Blurt Discord, supporting various developers of the blockchain using my libraries.
With these achievements in mind, I am excited to outline the plans for 2024 and beyond.
Plans for 2024
As we look forward to 2024, a year that promises to be pivotal for Blurt, I am excited to share some ambitious plans:
Nexus Module
In the Nexus module, I am currently working on (non-exhaustive list):
- Implementing the ability to pin posts on one's blog
- Implementing the ability to pin comments received on one's posts
- Continuing to add missing notifications
I also plan to explore:
- Adding more in-depth post analysis by AI (language, SEO) via Mistral AI
- Unveiling other surprises that I am not yet ready to reveal
Onboarding
In 2024, I plan to focus on creating a simplified onboarding solution for Blurt. This solution will include the Nexus affiliation system and a free account creation process using referral codes.
My goal is to make it easier for new users to join the Blurt community and start engaging with the platform. This initiative aligns with my commitment to growing and supporting the Blurt ecosystem, and I look forward to sharing more details as the project develops.
Analytical Statistics
I will make my analytics tool open-source, allowing anyone to integrate certain unique data into their frontend, similar to what I have done with BeBlurt.
Video Blurt
I will resume the development of a WebTorrent video solution, peer-to-peer through Interactive Connectivity Establishment (ICE) via STUN/TURN, that I started previously at the same time as a layer 2 solution similar to Hive-Engine, and adapt it to Blurt. This includes a specific player that can be embedded into any Blurt frontend or other website.
These initiatives aim to enhance the Blurt ecosystem, providing new features and tools for our community to thrive. With your support, I am confident that we can make 2024 a year of great success for Blurt.
Budget
The budget for this new proposal is set at 9,000 BLURT per day and will be allocated as follows:
- 35% for architecture
- 65% for development
This budget projection is based on full funding, which would require 16 million BP of support. If the proposal 31 is only partially funded, adjustments will need to be made to the planned features for 2024.
How to Support the Proposal 31
Firstly, the voting bug on proposals (where once a proposal expires or is deleted, the value of the votes is not released) has not yet been fixed. The fix is included in Hardfork 09, which has been adopted but the date of implementation and deployment has not yet been communicated. Therefore, before supporting the new proposal 31, it is imperative that you remove your vote from the old proposal 24.
It's important to note that governance votes, such as those for proposals or witnesses, work on a proportional basis. Each vote cast divides the total BP available, meaning that supporting multiple proposals diminishes the impact of each vote. For example, if you vote for one proposal, the requester receives 100% of your BP; if you vote for two, each requester receives 50%, and so on.
To cast your votes:
On BlurtWallet
1 - Go to the Blurt wallet https://blurtwallet.com and log in, Once logged in, click on the menu on the right
2 - Once the menu is open, click on "Vote for Proposals"
3 - Once on the proposals, click on the "^" button on the line "Blurt ecosystem proposal 2024" as shown in the image below.
4 - At the end, you should see the "^" button on the line "Blurt ecosystem proposal 2024" with an orange background as shown in the image below.

Conclusion
In conclusion, I am pleased to present this new funding proposal 31, building on the achievements and progress made over the past year. The support and engagement of the Blurt community have been instrumental in our success, and I am grateful for your continued trust.
Reflecting on the accomplishments of 2023, we have made significant strides in enhancing the Blurt ecosystem. From the development of open-source tools to the establishment of a robust community framework, these achievements underscore our commitment to advancing the Blurt platform.
Looking forward to 2024, I'm optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead, I aim to continue driving innovation and growth within the Blurt ecosystem.
I invite all Blurtians to join us on this journey as we work towards a more vibrant and sustainable future for Blurt. Your support and participation are essential, and together, we can achieve great things.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
Have fun on Blurt & BeBlurt
@nalexadre - 8th Witness on Blurt
Love it all @nalexadre you're doing great work. I have just voted on the new proposal and removed the vote from the old proposal hope I have done it right....Cheers :)
Thank you @hangin 😀👍
Done.
Success always for every project of yours.
Thanks a lot
Awesome…. Great work.
Going to vote now !

Voted: is it too early ?
Thank you very much @offgridlife, I suggest you withdraw your vote on the previous proposal 24 because as I explained in the post the expired votes bug is not yet fixed. No, it's not too early, votes on a proposal are not shown by the blockchain until the proposal activation time (I set it to 19:00 GMT, i.e. in just under an hour)
Ok… will remove the other vote. I just clicked on it to see if the value changed.
The value of the token is evolving positively and the BLURT platform is becoming more and more consolidated at the content level.
I support the proposal
Support, @beblurt
Thanks @hilaricita, this one is the old proposal which expire in 10 days, the good one is this one 👇
Support, @nalexadre👍
Done, Thank you for your dedication to maintaining blurt. :)
That way for making it easier for onboarding newer users (user with no clue on blockchains) much easier is really important and even with that we must also improve it more without much of a fuss. Thank you @nalexadre for these developments! 😀👍
Great work pushing forward with development!

So... 16,000,000 BLURT per year? That's a lot of taxation.
Where will the 16 million ultimately go? Will it be powered up? Sold?
Is there a clear list of what Blurtians are receiving in exchange? It's a lot of money, so before I give it my endorsement, I want to be certain of the details.
As for BeBlurt, I think it's great, and I'd like to know when certain users (like me) will be allowed to use it? Thanks!
Hi @drutter, I'm not sure how you calculated 16,000,000 BLURT per year. When I do the math, 9,000 x 365 days equals 3,285,000 BLURT per year, not 16 million.
Indeed, the majority of these funds will be powered up, as was the case in 2023 when I received a million from the fund. They will primarily support the BeBlurt manual curation. A portion will also probably be sold to cover architectural costs (such as RPC nodes, TESTNET, etc.), which currently amount to 100 USD per month. These expenses were covered out of my own pocket in 2022 and 2023.
This is based on the assumption that the proposal is 100% financed, meaning it surpasses the burn proposal. Otherwise, it will only yield 2,600 BLURT per day. As mentioned in my post, this will impact the content of the proposal.
Regarding BeBlurt, the release of version 2 (which includes new features) has been significantly delayed, partly due to my surgery. This version should be free of this bug. I hope to be able to release it in Q2 2024.
"I'm not sure how you calculated 16,000,000 BLURT per year"
I assume it was due to my misunderstanding of your mention of "16 million BP of support". I still find 3,285,000 BLURT per year to be a fairly large number. For example, I've worked since the start of these blockchains full-time as a content creator, powering up a lot of money and powering up everything I ever earned... and just finally hit 1,000,000.
"the majority of these funds will be powered up"
That's good, thanks. More downward pressure on the price wouldn't be as welcome, I think. The investors are already hurting and scared right now.
"Q2"
Great, thank you. I should be doing my own surgery around that time! All the best with your recovery.
Even if my proposal gets funded, I'm not sure if I'll receive a year's worth of funding, as the DAO funding system is supposed to be discontinued, as mentioned in the Initial Community Roadmap for the Blurt Blockchain post (BIP 0006 of HF10).
Alright, I'm willing to share my strategy with you, but it's only because it's you! The goal isn't to put excessive pressure on the price of BLURT by selling, but rather to accumulate as much BLURT as possible. This strategy aims to anticipate a potential surge in onboarding. If a large number of people join the Blurt blockchain, it could lead to a significant increase in the price of BLURT. However, it could also result in a greater dilution of reward funds across more individuals (which aligns with the historical patterns seen on Steem and Hive). Consequently, even though the dollar value may be higher, the quantity of BLURT received by rewards could be significantly lower.
Thanks, I hope that the surgery will completely resolve your health issues, thereby lifting a heavy burden off your spirits. My positive thoughts are with you for a speedy and full recovery.
Okay, let's see how this goes. I've attempted to support your proposal, but having never been involved in proposals before, I'm not sure I did it properly. Are you able to let me know if it worked or not? Thanks.
Yep, it worked, thanks a lot for your support
Thanks for your building!
You are doing really great work. My sincerest congratulations.
For my part, my humble contribution is to support you as a witness and continue publishing content regularly, voting and commenting in the same way.
Hopefully it will be a good 2024 for Blurt!
Thank you for your support @argenvista, there's no such thing as a humble contribution, every time someone supports me it's a priceless contribution whatever the value of their Blurt wallet. What matters to me is the person, not the wallet. Receiving the support of 15 people is always 15 times more rewarding, because we're talking about 15 unique personalities, each with their own differences. Of course, receiving the support of a large wallet also brings satisfaction, but it's not quite the same thing.
Sometime ago I wanted to create a video platform based webtorrent for streaming and publishing videos with a support for seeders. Something simiar like BTT. It mean that if you share your network connection you can earn. If this idea will go that way I can support that proposal
There was also a project upfire. Idea was similar. I think it is dead now, but all white papers should be somwhere. If someone can earn it is the best fuel to project.
Yep, it's something like that
You know I love all your work and I support you! But I have a question, will there be some kind of verification or limit used for the creation of new accounts? I mean the tool should be well thought out because many people will abuse the platform! And thank you for responding
