Greetings, Blurt community! I'm thrilled to announce that after just 10 days, we're ready for another BeBlurt update 🎉. I'm excited to introduce version 0.5.3, which now includes the Blurt blockchain proposal system.
What is BeBlurt?
BeBlurt is a decentralized application (dApp) built on the Blurt blockchain that caters to bloggers in various niches, offering them a flexible, secure, and decentralized platform to publish their content. Whether you're a travel blogger, a lifestyle blogger, a foodie, a crypto blogger or a development blogger, BeBlurt provides a reliable and rewarding platform to share your thoughts, experiences, and expertise with the world.
BeBlurt is not just a platform for bloggers; it's also a platform for readers who want to discover new and exciting content. That's why the BeBlurt team has put a lot of effort into creating a modern and user-friendly interface that enhances the user experience for both bloggers and readers.
The application is written with Ionic and Angular, two popular frameworks used to develop high-performance web applications. This ensures that the platform is responsive, fast, and provides a user-friendly interface for bloggers to create and publish their posts.
As a Progressive Web Application (PWA), BeBlurt offers a seamless user experience, allowing users to access the platform through any web browser without the need to download an app whether on mobile or tablet under IOS or Android, on laptop or desktop under Windows or MacOS
Update v0.5.3
The Proposals system
Proposals on Blurt are a way for community members to propose and vote on funding for various initiatives, such as dApps, marketing campaigns, and other projects that benefit the Blurt blockchain. The proposals are submitted through the blockchain and require approval from the community through a voting process. If approved, the funds for the proposal are distributed from the Blurt decentralized fund (BDF) to the proposer. This system allows the Blurt community to have a say in the direction of the platform and encourages the development of innovative ideas.
Where?
The access to the Proposals is done as for the Witnesses, from the left menu.
Display
As for the list of Witnesses you have the possibility to display the list of Proposals as a table or a grid using the view switcher.
At the top of the page, you'll find a summary banner that displays important key numbers, including the fund balance, number of funded proposals, daily payments, and daily budget as well as the create proposal button.
Proposal with a red background represent a separation between funded and unfunded proposals based on the level of support received from the community. This indicates that proposals without enough support votes will not be funded.
Each proposal displays the following information: the creator's account, the proposal's subject, the covered period, the remaining days, the daily request in BLURT, the total support received (per million of BLURT POWER), the proposal's status, a button to support the proposal, and a link to the post that explains the proposal.
Since this is a governance vote, similar to the Witnesses vote, if you do not use the Blurt Keychain, the "Active key" modal window will appear when you first vote. However, it will not appear for subsequent votes unless you close your browser or tab, since the key is not saved. If you're on smartphone you can use the QR Code reader button to scan the QR Code of your Active key on https://blurtwallet.com/.
Create a Proposal
When you click on the "Create Proposal" button, a form will appear in a modal window showing the proposal creation fee amount set by the Witnesses. Before attempting to create a proposal, ensure that you have enough funds in your wallet to cover the fee!
A calendar will help you to set the Start and End date of the period covered. The value can't exceed 2 years.
Autocomplete feature will assist you in choosing the recipient account to receive the fund payment.
To fill the "permlink" field, you should enter the link of your post that contains the proposal's details. It is essential that the link already exists and has been posted by the account that created the proposal (verified and validated by the witnesses nodes at the reception of the transaction).
Proposal Post
Proposal Posts are normal posts, on BeBlurt Proposal posts are showed with a specific right side (below the post on smartphone)
How to check your BeBlurt version
Beblurt is a Progressive Web Application (PWA) running in your browser so to help you check that you are up to date in the bottom menu the version you are using is displayed.
The application updates automatically in the background but you may have to close and reopen the browser page (or the PWA application for those who have installed it on smartphone, see this post)
A Ctrl + Shift + R to force a refresh will also work.
What's next?
- Rewriting of the comments display
- Rewriting of the post reading display
Integration of proposals system of the BLURT Decentralized Fund- one great module
- another great module
In parallel to this list, continuation of the integration of communities on Blurt (Nexus)
Conclusion
BeBlurt's latest update, version 0.5.3, bring another aspect of the Blurt blockchain's governance process, the Proposals system. Similar to the previous process of selecting witnesses, this feature is now directly accessible through the frontend, further promoting democratization of the governance process and voting.

That will be all for this update. If you want to support the project then a vote on the Witness @nalexadre is welcome ;)
I see you are continuing to improve the BeBlurt frontend! I do not use proposals (I barely even knew they existed until recently), but you are working on other upgrades all the time, so I will give BeBlurt another try. We do need a good alternative to the founders' frontend! Thank you. : )
